Covet Brings "breadandbutter" to Old Town

Daisy Linhares is a Brazilian designer based in Venice, CA. She got her start designing clothes while still living in Brazil. In 2002 she created “Mothballs,” a line of deconstructed cashmere tops made from vintage sweaters. Recently, in 2006, she launched a new line designed for everyday wear. The collection consists of comfortable rayon/modal dresses and tops. She wanted to come up with a line that would be stylish and yet understated. Looking at the fast pace life style in which we live in today, she wanted to simplify the “debate” of throwing an outfit together, making the garments easy to wear. Then, “breadandbutter,” was born.
