Denim mavericks ksubi have proved their design worth in another arena, winning Australia's prestigious 2008 Interior Design Award with the new store "The Bombed Mache".
The store created by ksubi in association with Herbert & Mason architects, leads the way in social and economical design by focusing on salvage and "mash" culture to produce an aesthetic the team call "homeless chic".
Eighty percent of the shop is constructed from refuse and throw away materials, while the entire design is customized and hand crafted. In keeping with the trend for momentary spaces, and the brand's assertion that "design for retail is impermanent" The Bombed Mache acts as a temporary destination with constant shifts in the interior made by ksubi's art department.
Congrats mates!
